Independent Travel on the Trans-Siberian Railways 1998

The mere mention of the 'Trans Siberian Railway' conjures up mystery and excitement.

The legend of the Trans Siberian - the world's longest train journey - has lured people to undertake this mammoth trip ever since its inception in the late 19th Century.

In addition to the Trans Siberian , which crosses this continent from Moscow to Vladivostok, there are also two other trains traversing Siberia.

The Trans Mongolian travels between Moscow and Beijing via Ulan Bator whilst the Trans Manchurian connects these two capitals via Zabaikalsk.
